Two people were shot in New Jersey on Wednesday, one of them being the famous rapper, Lil TJay. The “Run It Up” rapper was shot multiple times while Antoine Boyd had a single gunshot wound.

On an early Wednesday Morning, there was a shooting in New Jersey, in which the famous Bronx-born rapper, Lil TJay, was shot at multiple times. The incident took place at The Promenade in Edgewater.

Lil TJay was with two other people, 22-year-old Antoine Boyd and 24-year-old Jeffrey Valdez. Antoine also had a single gunshot wound as per the officials. As per the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, cops responded to the reports of this incident at the location after midnight.

Lil TJay’s real name is Tione Marriot, he had multiple gunshot wounds, when the cops arrived. Soon after, they rushed both the victims to an area hospital. While the official didn’t release any details about their condition, TMZ reports that Lil TJay had to undergo emergency surgery.

As per officials, Mohamed Konate made an attempt to rob the 21-year-old rapper, Lil TJay and the people he was with, Antoine Boyd and Jeffrey Valdez. At the time of the robbery attempt, Antoine and Jeffrey were found with an unlawful weapon each.

The detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the New York Police Department arrested Konate on the same day later. As per officials, Konate’s extradition to New Jersey is presently pending.

The police charged him with 3 counts of attempted murder, 2 counts of arms possession for an unlawful purpose, 3 counts of armed robbery, and a fourth-degree aggravated assault.

Similarly, they also charged both, Antoine and Jeffrey, with unlawful possession of a weapon. Lil Tjay is a famous rapper with a massive following of 7 million on Instagram. He peaked at No. 5 on the US Billboard 200 with his debut album, “True 2 Myself”.

Fellow artists and athletes took to social media to express their concern for the wounded rapper. The hip-hop star French Montana prayed for his “lil bro” as expressed via his Twitter account.
