Man beaten to death over past enmity in Baran dist

Kota: A 33-year-old man was beaten to death by 6-7 assailants over past enmity near Bhagwanpura village under Kawai police station in Baran district on Wednesday. Police detained the key accused immediately after the incident and handed over the body to family members after post-mortem later in the day.
The deceased was identified as Ravinder alias Bodhraj Jangid (33), resident of Ajnawar village under Chipabarod police station in Baran district.
Police said Jangid was riding on his motorbike near Bhagwanpura village when the assailants armed with sticks stopped him and lashed multiple attacks on him, Kawai SHO Kirdar Ahmed said. Jangid sustained several fatal injuries and was rushed to local hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, he added.
Initial investigation into the matter revealed past enmity between Jangid and one of the accused, Meghraj Meena, of Bhagwanpura village, who along with his 5-6 aides launched the attack, the SHO said.
It is alleged that Meghraj suspected Jangid to be the mastermind behind attack on him with a gun around 7 months ago, he added. Police lodged a case of murder under Section 302, 147, 148, 149 and 341 against Meghraj and 6 other identified accused.
