Regé-Jean Page has shut down rumours that he may be returning to Bridgerton season 3.

Page and former co-star Jonathan Bailey were photographed together over the weekend at the Armani Men's Spring 2023 show in Milan.

Their reunion prompted speculation that the 34-year-old might be reprising his role as the Duke of Hastings in the upcoming season. Page did not return for the second season, which centred on Bailey's character.

The Roots actor cleared the air with a post on Instagram. Alongside a photo of him and Bailey, he wrote: "The boys are back in town. (No, I'm not going back to the show btw - the papers made that one up.) But we had the best and most stylish catch-up I've had in a while over some truly excellent Italian coffee and sunshine."

Bridgerton season 2 - which centres on Viscount Anthony Bridgerton (Bailey) and Kate Sharma's (Simone Ashley) love story went on to become the second most-watched show ever for the debut of an English-language TV show after being knocked down by Stranger Things in May.

In May, the streaming service announced that the third season would centre on Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington's (Nicola Coughlan) love story.

Anatomy of a Scandal actor Hannah Dodd has been cast in the role of Francesca Bridgerton after Roby Stokes exited the series.
