
NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 654.43 points up at 52476.96 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Anjani Finance(down 18.80 per cent), Meenakshi Enterprise(down 13.28 per cent), Ashoka Metcast(down 13.04 per cent), Garware Synth(down 12.69 per cent) and Shristi Infra(down 12.20 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 47 stocks traded in the green, while 3 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 204.0 points up at 15617.3.
On the BSE, , , , and hit their fresh 52-week lows, while , , . Ltd., ST Corporation and touched their fresh 52-week highs.
