The maximum temperature spiked by 3 degrees Celsius with only a few areas in Delhi recording very light rainfall on Wednesday. With water woes yet to ease, Delhi pins hopes on Haryana

31 Covid deaths in Delhi this month, but most cases co-morbid
The city on Wednesday logged 928 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking its overall tally to 19,24,532. The positivity rate stood at 7. 08%, down from 7. 22% on Tuesday.This is the first time since June 13 that the infection count in the city is below the 1,000 mark. Between June 14 and June 21, Delhi had witnessed more than 1,000 cases daily. On June 17, it had logged 1,797 cases.Three more fatalities were also recorded on Wednesday, bringing Delhi’s Covid toll to 26,239. So far this month, the city has seen 31 deaths linked to the virus. On Monday, six people had succumbed to the disease, the highest number of fatalities in a day since February 24, when five people had died.

BJP planning to demolish 53 temples in Delhi to ‘disrupt harmony’, claims AAP

Delhi: 5 cops among 6 injured as man goes on stabbing spree at police station
A 28-year old man went on a stabbing spree inside Shahdara police station in east Delhi on Wednesday afternoon, leaving five cops and a home guard injured. He was overpowered on the spot and is being questioned. The police are yet to establish his motive. One of the policemen is critical.The attacker has been identified as Bharat Bhati, a resident of Balbir Nagar in east Delhi. The police said Bhati has no criminal record and was involved in one accident case in 2014 which is still being heard.One policeman was stabbed close to his heart and is undergoing treatment at AI-IMS Trauma Centre. His condition was described by doctors as “critical but stable”.
