Loose forward Arno Botha's move from the Bulls to French club Lyon was confirmed on Wednesday.
Botha, 30, played for the Bulls in last Saturday's 18-13 defeat to the Stormers in the United Rugby Championship final in Cape Town.
His agency, In Touch Sports, confirmed the move abroad.
Botha rejoined the Bulls in 2020 after two seasons at Munster in Ireland. Before that, he also had a short stint at London Irish in England.
He represented the Bulls between 2011 and 2017 and played two Tests for the Springboks in 2013.
His international career was however halted by a recurring knee injury.
