Jaisalmer: Union Jal Shakti minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was shown black flags by NSUI officials when he was going to Pokhran from Jaislamer on Tuesday.
NSUI workers protested the alleged harassment of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi by ED and Agnipath Yojana.
Police force was deployed at the Pokhran highway. There were strict security arrangements and police dispersed the demonstrators.
NSUI district president Bhom Singh said that by showing black flags and throwing black ink on Shekhawat's vehicle they expressed protest.
He said that we were protesting against the Central government for misusing investigating agencies for harassing Gandhi and for cheating the youth with Agnipath scheme.
The demonstrators stopped the car of Shekhawat while he was going to Pokaran and showed black flags. He said the minister did not listen to them.
On the 8th International Yoga Day, Shekhawat had come to Sam area in Jaisalmer to attend a programme.
At Sankda chauraha, NSUI workers showed black flags and threw black ink on the minister's vehicle. Later, police dispersed them.
