AgenciesThe Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) is introducing new two-year courses for MA students from the 2023-2024 session. The two-year programmes include Development Studies, English Studies, and Economics.
The new programmes will replace the current five-year integrated M.A. The institute has allocated 25 seats for each course.
The seats are even open to international students based on supernumerary. Th institute will begin the admission process for these courses in March/April 2023. The classes will subsequently commence in July 2023.
“The MA program is restructured to open for more graduate students from different streams including engineering, science, commerce, humanities, etc. Such programs in economics and business studies are necessary for future generations to understand and grow with the economy and modern changes in the world. The new MA programs will bring more employment and placements," director of IIT Madras, Prof. V Kamakoti, said.
