RANCHI: Khunti police arrested three People Liberation Front of India (PLFI)
RANCHI: Khunti police arrested three People Liberation Front of India (PLFI) extremists near Sarna Toli under Torpa police station area on Monday. The arrested are Lalit Topno, Albert Topno, and Neeraj Lugun. Two country-made guns, six cartridges, PLFI receipts, a bike and four mobile phones were seized. A team led by Topra sub-divisional police officer caught the ultras near an under-construction house.
Vehicle lifters gang busted
Bokaro: Police busted an interstate gang of vehicle lifters by arresting four of its members. It also recovered two stolen cars. All the arrested are residents of Vaishali district of Bihar and aged between 24 and 38 years. Police on Tuesday said that the gang members were involved in vehicle thefts in Gomia, Kathara, Chas, BTPS in Bokaro and many districts of Bihar. The kingpin, Ajit Sahni, and his associate Arun Rai were wanted in nine cases of theft in Bokaro, Ramgarh and Bihar. The other two arrested members are Shivam Kumar (24) and Om Prakash Paswan (26).
Scooty for female cops
Bokaro: Bokaro superintendent of police Chandan Kumar Jha distributed scooters and tabs among the women police personnel of 19 police stations posted within the city limits and rural areas. The district police on Friday said the scooters were distributed to make its women personnel more efficient in responding to crimes against women, he said.
