Prez polls: Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, JP Nadda hail Droupadi Murmu's nomination

Union home minister Amit Shah on Tuesday oozed confidence in Droupadi Murmu's victory in the presidential polls and said her candidature was an important moment for the country and yet another gesture of PM Modi's resolve to empower tribals and women.
"Today is a very important moment for the country when NDA under the leadership of Narendra Modi and JP Nadda has announced Droupadi Murmu for the presidency. This decision will work to take tribal pride to new heights," he tweeted.
Defence minister Rajnath Singh said, "Droupadi Murmu is known for her administrative qualities, humility and passion to work for the welfare of the poor and other marginalised sections of our society." BJP president JP Nadda said with her rich administrative experience, her great history of selfless social service and relentless zeal to work for the uplift of society, Murmu will make a great President for the country.
