Two Muslim girl students get NOC, one takes TC amid hijab row
Two Muslim girl students, who protested against the prohibition of hijab at the university college in the city, have taken no-objection certificates (NOC) from the college to join other colleges, while one was issued a transfer certificate (TC). Tailor surrenders after killing wife in Bengaluru
A tailor in financial distress surrendered before police after fatally stabbing his wife in the neck and trying to murder his 14-year-old daughter at his residence in Mathikere, north Bengaluru, on Wednesday. Yeshwantpur police identified the accused as Dhanendra, 49, from Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. The deceased was his wife Anusuya, 42, also a tailor. Their daughter Sahana is being treated in a hospital.
