Health dept list of 89 docs for CMHOs

Jaipur: Under the new eligibility criteria, 89 doctors have been found who can be appointed as chief medical health officers (CMHOs). Earlier, there was no such criteria, which was why senior officials and health ministers faced flak for giving postings to inexperienced doctors as CMHOs.
A health department official said they had invited the applications from doctors across the state for CMHO post. The health department has considered the experience and performance of a doctor in the past five financial years from 2016-17 to 2020-21 as criteria.
They have also checked if any the candidate was penalized during his tenure for indisciplinary activities or having charges of corruption against him or her. Also, they have checked if the candidate was awarded for his performance.
