AAP seeks Mahadayi project details

Hubballi: The state government should clarify whether it will implement Mahadayi river project or not, demanded Aam Aadmi Party leader Vikas Soppin.
Speaking to reporters here on Monday, the AAP leader said chief minister Basavaraj Bommai, who discussed about Mekedatu and Krishna projects with Jal Shakti minister in Delhi recently, did not speak a single word about Mahadayi river project. “He had written with blood demanding the implementation of the project in the past. Now, he is telling that there are some confusions in the detailed project report (DPR) after four years of tribunal’s verdict,” he added.
He alleged that the government has not yet prepared a DPR, but is showing pre-feasibility report (PFR), submitted to CWC, as DPR.
“The government is deceiving people by issuing false statements and by reserving funds in the budget. It is not putting efforts to get approval from central agencies. Bommai should clarify on why he is now pressing for dialogue with Goa. If DPR is ready, he should reveal it in public domain,” he said.
