6 coaching centres shut

Hubballi: Members of the Karnataka State Children’s Rights Commission locked six unauthorised coaching centres in Kalghatgi on Monday.
Commission member Ashok Yaragatti, district unit president Dr Kamala Bailur visited several coaching centres and found six had not obtained permission from authorities. They visited the centres following a complaint by Neelakanthgouda Patil, a resident of Mukkal village.
The commission issued notices to the centres warning them of legal action.
Block education officer Umadevi Basapur, circle police inspector Srishail Koujalgi and child development project officer Veena were present during the visit.
