Berhampur: New Ganjam collector takes charge

BERHAMPUR: Dibya Jyoti Parida, who assumed office as the Ganjam district collector on Monday, assured that the projects undertaken by his predecessor would be carried forward and completeted on time, while more such initiatives would be taken for the development of the district.
Ganjam is the home district of chief minister Naveen Patnaik.
“The district administration had taken up several new works under the state’s 5T initiative. We will continue to do the same and add to the list,” Parida, who took charge from his predecessor, Vijay Amruta Kulange, said at Chhatrapur.
Kulange, who served as the district collector for about four years, has now been made the commissioner of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation. Parida was the district collector of Sambalpur prior to his current engagement.
On his first day in office, the new collector paid a visit to the Tara Tarini temple.
