Congress neta likens PM Modi to Hitler, BJP lashes out

NEW DELHI: BJP on Monday slammed Congress for "hateful" remarks by its leaders against PM Modi after former Union minister Subodh Kant Sahay likened Modi to Hitler and said he would "die the way the German dictator had died". BJP said people's love for Modi has only been increasing as is Congress' hatred for him. BJP said the trend started 15 years ago with Congress chief Sonia Gandhi's "Maut Ka Saudagar" against Modi and the latest disparaging remarks are just a continuation and reflected Congress' mindset.
"Congress' downfall in morality has touched the lowest level in its history of 136 years.," BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said. He said the "filthy" comments of Sahay and other Congress leaders against the PM were were part of the opposition party's well-conceived conspiracy. Meanwhile, Congress distanced itself from Sahay's statement, saying made it doesn't endorse any indecent remarks against the PM.
