Uttarakhand tourism authorities issue travel advisory for tourists

The authorities of Uttarakhand tourism have given out a travel recommendation for tourists, inclusive of the Char Dham journey, which has warned them of probable bad weather conditions on Tuesday.


The meteorological department has sent out a cautionary for light avalanches, closure of roads, rock fall and rising water levels in rivers and streams in districts that are susceptible to heavy rains. This was said by Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) in a statement yesterday.


The meteorological division has predicted rain in several districts, comprising the Char Dham route. Due to this prediction, the tourism department appealed to all tourists toschedule their holiday in Uttarakhand only after registration and gatheringcompleteinfo about the weather and roads from the toll-free number functioned by the UTDB.


Tourists would also be able to see all weather updates on the meteorological department official website. Pilgrims have beeninstructed to carry woolens,raincoat, umbrella, water-resistanthiking shoes, cap, walking stick and gloves in the course of their journey.


As per weather predictions, there is possibility of heavy downpour on the 20th& 21st of this month in remote places in the districts of Uttarakhand.


There might be light to moderate shower at several places in the districts of Kumaonand even in few places in the districts of Garhwal. Tourists need to stayinformedregarding weather conditionsand routes before considering visiting Uttarakhand to avoid troublesomecircumstances.
