Hyderabad: ‘Most varsities in state in the same boat’

Anumula Revanth Reddy
HYDERABAD: Congress leaders A Revanth Reddy, Mallu Ravi, V Hanumanth Rao and G Niranjan among others on Monday alleged that the lack of basic amenities at IIIT Basara was not an isolated case and a similar situation was being faced by students in almost all universities in the state.
Revanth wrote a letter to chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday, urging him to immediately implement demands listed out by protesting students of IIIT Basara. He also demanded that the CM hold a review meeting on IIIT Basara and other educational institutions.
“CM KCR has time to discuss about Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi and future of the party with Prashant Kishor. But he neither visits nor holds a review meeting on why students are protesting in IIIT Basara,” he said.
