Union minister Piyush Goyal addresses a gathering in Kurukshetra on the occasion of International Yoga Day.
KURUKSHETRA: Union minister of consumer affairs, food and public distribution and commerce and industry Piyush Goyal today attended the eighth International Yoga Day event organised at Purshottam Garden in Kurukshetra on Tuesday.
The event was jointly organised by Kurukshetra district administration, Ayush Department Haryana and Union Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.
Speaking at the event, Piyush Goyal said, that by following the path of this yoga, along with the happiness and peace of mind, the path of progress of the country opens up.
He said that world has come to know the importance of yoga.
"Yoga is beneficial for the entire humanity. The whole world has seen the example of this during the Covid-19 pandemic. That is why this year's International Yoga Day has been dedicated to the theme of 'Yoga for Humanity'. With the efforts of the government, not only the country but people living in every corner of the world are associated with yoga and are practicing protocol yoga together at the same time", said Goyal.
