Two booked for cheating employees of pvt bank

Coimbatore: The city police have registered two separate cases against two people for cheating two employees of a private bank of 12.5 lakh by promising them to get jobs in the income tax department.
According to the Race Course investigation wing police, Subhashini, of Anna Nagar at Periyanaickenpalayam, and R Ashok Kumar, of Kovilur in Karur district, were running a private job consultancy company in the city.
Police said K Sundaresan, 28, of Valamarakottai in Thanjavur, and B Maheswaran, 33, of Papanasam taluk in Thanjavur, are working in a private bank. They approached Subashini and Ashok Kumar to get a government job. The duo promised the bank employees to get jobs in income tax department in New Delhi and demanded a few lakhs of rupees.
Believing their words, Sundaresan gave 5.25 lakh on December 13, 2019 and Maheswaran gave 7.25 lakh on December 16, 2019 to the duo. But neither they got the job nor their money back.
Police have formed a special team to nab Subashini and Ashok Kumar.
