The Chief of Army Staff, General Manoj Pande, on Monday, June 20, said that the Agnipath scheme was a win-win for both the youngsters and the Army. He urged aspiring applicants to not be misled by wrong information.
In an exclusive interview with AajTak, the Army chief said that the Agnipath scheme would not be rolled back. He added that the schedule for recruitment will be issued today.
“No rollback of the Agnipath scheme. There will be positive changes and the scheme will be tweaked as required when it is rolled out,” said General Manoj Pande.

He further urged youngsters not to be misled by wrong information. He advised them to “focus on preparation for the physical and written exam.”
“The youth of the country should understand that the Agnipath scheme is beneficial for them, the Army and the country. This is a win-win, both for the Army and the nation. Do not be misled” said Manoj Pande.
He also said that the lack of correct information is leading to wrong apprehensions about the scheme.
