Greater Noida: Man shot at outside home, cops suspect friend’s role

GREATER NOIDA: A 30-year-old man suffered injuries after being shot at outside his home in Delta-2 area on Sunday evening.
Lokesh Bhati was walking outside his home while he was shot at. Police suspect the role of his friend Mohit Bhati with whom his brother had an altercation a few days ago.
According to Harish Chander, DCP of Central Noida, the incident took place around 5 pm. Lokesh is an employee of the company hired by Greater Noida Authority for monitoring sanitation work in the city, he said. “After getting the information, a police team reached the spot and rushed him to hospital. He is out of danger now,” Chander added.
“The accused has been identified as Mohit Bhati. Lokesh and Mohit live in the same area. Around two weeks ago, Mohit and Lokesh’s brother had a fight, after which an FIR was lodged. Lokesh was booked in the case but was absconding,” the DCP said.
“On the basis of Lokesh’s complaint, an FIR has been registered against accused under the section of 307 (attempt to murder) and four police teams have been formed to nab the culprits," he said.
