Kids cut cakes, connect with dads over video call on Father’s Day

Ranchi: Residents of Ranchi celebrated Father's Day with a great enthusiasm and several people observed the day by cutting cakes with their fathers or making video calls to them. Some students made portraits of their fathers to show their love and affection.
City residents Prashant Kumar and his sister Shobha Kumari cut a cake to commemorate the day and planned a gift for their father. Prasant said, “My sister Shobha has been saving her pocket money for this occasion and has been asking me to buy a gift. She also planned to go to a restaurant and have a meal with dad.”
On the occasion, the Aqua World Fish Home organised a programme titled ‘My Daddy My Hero’apart from holding a catwalk competition for fathers and daughters and a dance competition.
IFA International School of Arts and Design also organised a “design a coffee mug for your papa” competition on the occasion. Children who stood first, second and third in the competition were awarded.
