Neighbour’s pics morphed, woman booked

Ludhiana: A woman has been booked for morphing pictures of her neighbour with a man and uploading it on social media. The woman also made objectionable comments on the pictures of the woman, using a fake Facebook profile.
The FIR has been lodged against the woman following a 3-month inquiry.
The complainant said in March, one ‘Reet Mehra’ (Preet) wrote objectionable comments on her pictures uploaded on her Facebook profile. A few days later, some of her morphed pictures with a neighbouring man were also uploaded on Reet Mehra’s account to defame her. When she came to know about it, she lodged a complaint with the police on March 28.
Sub-inspector Jatinder Singh said after an inquiry, it was found that a neighbouring woman, who was a friend of the victim, had made a fake Facebook profile and used it to defame the complainant. The accused had made objectionable remarks on her pictures and also morphed her picture with a man. A case has been registered against her under different sections of the IT Act. The accused is yet to be arrested. tnn
