SL vs IND: Harmanpreet Kaur-led India arrive in Sri Lanka for limited-overs series in post-Mithali Raj era

India and Sri Lanka will play three T20Is, followed by three ODIs. The All-India selection committee picked T20I captain Harmanpreet Kaur to lead the ODI team against Sri Lanka after Mithali Raj announced her retirement.

India women's team led by Harmanpreet Kaur landed in Sri Lanka on Sunday for the limited-overs series, beginning June 23.

India and Sri Lanka will play three T20Is from June 23-27 in Dambulla, followed by three ODIs between July 1-7 in Pallekele.

This is India's first series since their premature exit from the 2022 ODI World Cup in New Zealand. India, who were considered favourites to qualify for the semi-finals, crashed out in the league stage under the leadership of Mithali Raj.

Mithali announced her retirement from all forms of cricket earlier this month. The selection committee then picked T20I captain Harmanpreet to lead India in ODIs against Sri Lanka.

Along with Mithali, Jhuland Goswami is a major miss from the India squad. Jhulan is yet to take a call on her career. Her last match came during the World Cup against Australia in the league stage.
