Almost all train services at Secunderabad Railway Station have been restored barring a few trains and the MMTS services.
HYDERABAD: A day after massive vandalism, almost all train services at Secunderabad Railway Station have been restored barring a few trains and the MMTS services.
According to Secunderabad divisional railway manager Abhay Kumar Gupta, they took one hour to clear the platforms and tracks of trolleys, goods, broken stalls, and vending machines before resuming the scheduled trains from 8.08 pm onwards.
Post the violent protests on Friday, major interstate trains that were earlier cancelled such as Hyderabad to Vizag, Chennai and Tambaram were rescheduled to leave via the normal route from 10.30 pm, 10.45 pm and 11.15 pm respectively. However, SCR announced that 34 MMTS services will be cancelled for two days due to operational reasons.
