​Apple's newest MacBook Pro up for pre-orders in India

Apple unveiled its new MacBook Pro laptops at its annual developer conference WWDC 2022 on June 6. The laptop is up for preorder in India. The latest M2 MacBook Pro comes with a starting price of Rs 1,29,900. For students, the MacBook Pro starts at Rs 1,19,900. The customers can purchase the device online via Apple Online Store and offline through authorized Apple resellers. Google rolled out a new feature for its navigation app -- Google Maps. The feature will make travelling much easier. ​Why VPN companies are upset over new rules

Some of the leading virtual private network (VPN) service providers have recently announced that they will remove their servers from India. Companies including Surfshark and ExpressVPN and NordVPN have said that they are shutting their servers in India. The companies are upset with the new VPN rules setup by the government. The new cybersecurity norms have asked VPN service providers along with data centers and cloud service providers to store information such as names, email IDs, contact numbers, and IP addresses (among other things) of their customers for a period of five years. ​OnePlus 9 5G receives second price cut in India

The last year launched premium OnePlus smartphone -- OnePlus 9 5G received its second price cut in India this week. The smartphone witnessed its first price drop of Rs 5000 in March this year. OnePlus 9 5G comes in two variants -- 8GB and 12GB. After the first price cut, the 8GB RAM variant was available at Rs 44,999 and the 12GB RAM variant was selling at Rs 49,999. The smartphone has now received a price drop of Rs 7,000. So, after the second price cut, the customers can purchase the 8GB variant of OnePlus 9 5G at Rs 37,999 and the 12GB version at Rs 42,999. The week also saw an important announcement for WhatsApp users. Apple has now added support of WhatsApp chat transfers for those moving from Android to iOS. Apple has an app called Move to iOS, which facilitates the transfer of data from Android phones to iPhones. What the app lacked — till now — was the ability to move WhatsApp chats. However, starting this week, WhatsApp beta users — will be able to move their WhatsApp chats from Android to iOS.
