MHA to organise national conference on cyber security

NEW DELHI: A national conference on cyber security will be organised by the ministry of home affairs here on Monday to create mass awareness for the prevention of cyber crimes in the country.
The ‘Cyber Apradh Se Azadi – Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, which will have home minister Amit Shah as the chief guest, is part of the series of events being organised by the Central government to mark 75 years of Indian Independence. It follows the holding of nationwide events on cyber hygiene, prevention of cyber crime, cyber safety and national security, organised by MHA arm Indian Cyber Coordination Centre (I4C) along with the culture ministry, from June 8 to 17. Both these events, which covered 75 locations across difference states and Union territories, as well as Monday’s conference are being organised under the banner “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”.
The national conference on cyber security will be attended by the minister for culture and tourism G Kishan Reddy, MoS (home) Ajay Kumar Mishra and senior officials of the MHA, culture ministry and various state/UT governments.
