Maharashtra: Warkari killed, 28 others injured as truck hits tractor in Satara

KOLHAPUR: One warkari was killed and 28 others sustained injuries after a vegetable-laden tempo rammed into their tractor-trolley on Pune-Bengaluru highway in Maharashtra's Satara district early Sunday morning.
All the injured have been admitted to a hospital.
According to police, as many as 43 Warkaris associated with Shri Bhadreshwar Bhavik Mandal of Bhadole were travelling in two trailers pulled by a tractor. The trailers were hit by a vegetable-laden tempo from the back side.
They were from Bhadole and Lahote villages in Kolhapur district and they were on their way to Alandi in Pune district.
The Satara police have communicated the incident and names of those out of danger now to their relatives and have asked them to show up to look after them.
