NEW DELHI: Mining shares closed lower in the Friday's session.

KIOCL(up 12.02%), Pokarna(up 4.72%), Coal India(up 1.53%), NMDC Ltd(up 0.56%) and Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 0.15%) stood among the top gainers.

Aro Granite Industries(down 5.35%), Lexus Granito(down 4.92%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 3.98%), MOIL(down 3.40%), Dvpt Corporation(down 2.50%), Oriental Trimex(down 0.78%), Ashapura Minechem(down 0.78%) and 20 Microns(down 0.36%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 67.1 points down at 15293.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 135.37 points at 51360.42.

Bajaj Finance(up 2.57%), Bajaj Finserv(up 2.47%), JSW Steel(up 1.6%), Coal India(up 1.53%), ICICI Bank(up 1.23%), Reliance Industries(up 1.17%), Enterprises(up 1.03%), ITC(up 1.0%), HDFC Bank(up 0.66%) and Tata Steel(up 0.55%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Titan Company Ltd(down 6.04%), Wipro(down 4.05%), Shree Cement(down 3.56%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 3.46%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 3.42%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 3.28%), Asian Paints(down 2.91%), Cipla(down 2.78%), UPL Ltd(down 2.71%) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 2.6%) closed in the red.
