I wanted to eliminate Moose Wala, but others from my gang may have killed him: Lawrence Bishnoi

MOHALI: Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has admitted that he intended to eliminate singer Sidhu Moose Wala but the actual plan may have been carried out by people from his gang, the Punjab Police sources have said.
Bishnoi was grilled in Mohali for nearly five hours by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by AIG Gurmeet Singh Chauhan along with Mansa SSP Gaurav Toora and AGTS DSP Bikram Singh Brar.
During the interrogation, Bishnoi confessed that he had planned to kill the singer-turned-politician to avenge the death of youth leader Vicky Middukhera and had also arranged to recce his movements.
However, he added that he is not aware of the people who executed the killing, said the sources.
Sources further added that Bishnoi told the SIT during interrogation that Middukhera was like his elder brother and his gang members also treated him as their brother.
Bishnoi said that his gang members may have thus executed the plan to eliminate Moose Wala to avenge Middukhera's killing since they were distraught over the loss, sources said.
The gangster added that his aides were upset at Moose Wala for allegedly helping his manager Shaganpreet Singh escape to Australia.
Shaganpreet was named in the killing of Middukhera.
Sources said that Bishnoi made all these revelations when he was shown CTV footages, photographs and videos of the day and place where Moose Wala was killed.
He was shown the CCTV footages of vehicles following Moose Wala and photos and videos of the spot where the singer was killed.
Bishnoi was also made to indentify the vehicles used in the crime. However, he maintained that he is not aware of the shooters involved in the crime.
The SIT has also learnt that the weapons used in the killing have been buried on the borders of Punjab and Haryana but the police is yet to trace and recover them.
After identifying the four sharp shooters involved in the murder, a team of police has left for Uttar Pradesh to arrest them.
One gangster brought from Bihar
Meanwhile, Punjab police have brought another gangster from Bihar, identified as Mohammad Raza.
Raza is being interrogated for his links with Lawrence Bishnoi.
Sources said that Raza will soon be brought to CIA Mohali where he will be confronted with Bishnoi.
Police are at present questioning Raza about his involvement and knowledge of Moose Wala's killing. Raza is said to be the extortion money collector for Bishnoi.
Police raid hideouts of 4 shooters
The Punjab Police is at present conducting raids at the hideouts in Haryana, UP and Bihar to arrest the four sharp shooters, identified as Priyawant alias Fauji of Sonipat, Ankit of Sonipat, Mannu Khusa of Moga and Jagroop alias Roopa of Amritsar.
The police will also bring three dreaded gangsters from Pune - Mahakal, Santosh Jadhav, Suryavanshi - for their suspected involvement in Moose Wala's murder.
