GUWAHATI: Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday reiterated several plans, which included enhancing the monetary benefit to about 27 lakh women to Rs 1250 per month through DBT mode under the state government’s flagship ‘Orunodoi’ programme, at the
BJP state executive committee meeting at Diphu in Karbi Anglong district.
He said students from Class IX to XII belonging to various castes from now on will their caste certificates under Mission Bhumiputra in their school itself. He also repeated that Assam government offices, including the secretariat, will operate the e-office system from October 2 this year. The state government also plans to appoint 26,000 “Jal Mitras’ with a monthly remuneration of Rs 6,500 to check water connections in villages and also tea garden workers will be given a share of compensation for land acquisition from respective gardens for construction of national highways.
