The NSE Nifty index closed 67.1 points down at 15293.5, while BSE Sensex ended down 135.37 points at 51360.42.
On the other hand, .(down 6.04 per cent), .(down 4.05 per cent), .(down 3.56 per cent), .(down 3.46 per cent) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 3.42 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
