Engrs call off their stir after talks with min

Jaipur: The junior engineers of the power department on Thursday called off their four-day agitation seeking the removal of wage anomalies and creating more avenues for promotion.
The stir was called off following talks with the energy minister Bhanwar Singh Bhati and representatives of the Power Engineers Association of Rajasthan. The minister assured them that their demands would be taken up with the finance department.
Principal secretary energy Bhaskar A Sawant assured them that their wage anomalies would be addressed in consultation with the finance department within three months.
Two representatives of the association would be included in the meeting of the committee constituted at the discoms level to be held on June 22.
