LUDHIANA: The
Ludhiana Improvement Trust (LIT) conducted draw for the flats to be constructed under Atal Apartments scheme on Thursday at Nehru Sidhant Kendra.
The draw was organised for 336 HIG and 240 MIG flats. The residents whose names were declared in draw will now go to the local bodies department for approval followed which tenders for the construction work will be floated.
The officials claimed that entire process can take at least couple of months.
Deputy commissioner and LIT Chairman LIT Surabhi Malik said, "The draw was completed in peaceful and proper manner. There was live streaming of event so that people need not to visit the spot due to summer season and increasing number of covid cases."
Regarding future projects she said that they would bring more such projects for the public and attention would be paid towards the maintenance of colonies which are already with LIT.
Meanwhile the land acquisition officer of LIT Neeru Katyal shared that flats will be constructed in 8.8 acres of land at Pakhowal Road where swimming pool, gymnasium, small commercial center and parking facility will be provided.
