Odisha: Notice issued for president election

BHUBANESWAR: The public notice for the July 18 presidential election was issued on Wednesday, with assistant returning officer for Odisha, Raghuram Iyer, giving a low down of the arrangements here. A notice regarding the presidential election has been put on the notice board of the state assembly. With issuance of the notification, nomination process has started and will continue till June 29. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on June 30 while nomination can be withdrawn by July 2, said Iyer. He said polling on July 18 will be held at room number-54 of the assembly where all MLAs and MPs can cast their votes. After completion of polling, the ballot boxes will be sent to New Delhi for counting of votes on July 21.
