Book launched

Mangaluru: Christian Planters’ Guild (CPG), along with St Aloysius College Alumni Association (SACAA), hosted the book launch ceremony of ‘Magadi Acres – A Story of Coffee,’ by Maxwell Pereirarecently. The president of CPG, Marjorie Texeira, introduced Pereira, and opined that the influence of lush green surroundings of Sakleshpur, coffee and its aroma, stimulated Pereira to author the book.
She explained that the academic story of Pereira, who is former joint police commissioner, Delhi, began in St Aloysius School, and continued through St Aloysius PU College. The book launch concluded with a conversation with the author. The president of SACAA, Stephen Pinto, and rector of St Aloysius Institutions Rev Fr Melwin Pinto were present.
