Remote access and remote control computer software company, TeamViewer, announced the appointment of Rupesh Lunkad as managing director for India. Rukesh will be responsible for leading the India business and creating value for its customers in their digital transformation journey, strengthening partnerships, and scaling investments in the region. Lunkad takes over Krunal Patel, who has played an integral role in establishing TeamViewer’s Indian operations since 2018.
“With his strong sales leadership, immense technology expertise, and deep understanding of driving business in the region, we are certain that he will enable us to expand our footprint in the India market and create a strong ecosystem of alliances with our partners,” Sojung Lee, president – Asia Pacific, TeamViewer said.
Lunkad joins with 16 years of experience in strategy, delivery, product management, digital transformation, and IT leadership. He has been an advisor to enterprise businesses and aligned their long-term business objectives with technology strategies based on a customer-centric approach. Prior to this, he held key positions with leading tech companies like SAP India and Wipro.
Lunkad played an instrumental role in devising go-to-market strategies at SAP for new business verticals as well as for strategic initiatives leveraging the company's partner ecosystem. He also lead SAP’s S/4HANA cloud business in India. At Wipro, he served in several enterprise sales and business leadership responsibilities. Prior to joining TeamViewer India, he was a chief revenue officer at system integrator SAVIC Technologies.
