In August 2021, Samsung launched the much-awaited Galaxy Z Fold 3 powering Snapdragon 888 5G. The device features a 7.6-inch Foldable Dynamic AMOLED display paired with up to 512GB storage and 12GB RAM. Android 11 based One UI 3.1.1 runs the device out of the box. It carries a 12 MP triple rear camera while the front offers a 10 MP sensor on the cover display and a 4 MP under-display snapper. They also launched the Galaxy Z Flip 3 along with the device. It has the same chipset that pairs with 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage. The device features two 12MP sensors on the rear and a 10MP sensor to the front.

- [May 13, 2022]: A new update with May 2022 security patch is rolling out for the Galaxy Z Flip 3. The update is currently rolling out on Comcast and Xfinity Mobile’s network in the US with firmware version F711USQS2CVD2.
- [May 10, 2022]: The May 2022 security patch is reaching out to more countries for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G. Arriving on firmware version F926BXXS1CVD2, the build is unfurling in Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Argentina, Colombia, Trinidad, and Tobago, Panama, and Peru.
- [May 2, 2022]: Samsung is releasing the May 2022 security patch to the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3. The build arrives on firmware versions F711U1TBS2CVD4 and F926U1UES1CVD4, respectively. For now, it is available for almost all US carrier-unlocked networks, while the rest of the regions will follow later.

- [March 16, 2022]: Samsung is releasing a new update for Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3. The build is rolling out in South Korea and Europe for Z Flip 3 via firmware version F711NKSU2CVC5 and F711BXXU2CVC5 respectively. Meanwhile, Galaxy Z Fold 3 users in South Korea are upgrading with version F926NKSU1CVC5. The update packs the March 2022 security patch and bumps the skin version to One UI 4.1.

- [October 6, 2021]: The Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 are grabbing a new update that adds October 2021 patch. The build arrives on version number F711U1UES2AUI5 and F926U1UES1AUI5 respectively. Presently, it is rolling out to the unlocked variants of the devices in the USA. As per Samsung, the patch fixes over 60 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. Also, there are chances the build could pack RAM Plus features, general bug fixes, and device stability improvements.
- [September 28, 2021]: Samsung has started pushing a new update for the Galaxy Z Flip 3. It is the first security update for the Galaxy Z Flip 3. The new update is rolling out for the T-Mobile units in the USA and brings the September 2021 security patch. The update comes with the build number F711USQU2AUI4. It has fixed more than 60 vulnerabilities on the device. Head to Settings and check for updates to install the latest update on your T-Mobile unit.

Arriving on the firmware version F926BXXU1AUHF, the build carries the September 2021 security patch. Though the company has not yet detailed the patch, it could carry general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
As the update is having a phase-wise rollout, it may take some time to reach all the units. Meanwhile, you can head to Settings > Software updates > Security updates to check the update manually. We also suggest you switch over to a WiFi network before downloading the update to avoid data charges.
