After the drowning incident of a tourist at Sinquerim Beach in Kerala, yet another occurrence on Tuesday afternoon of the same type with another tourist from Karnataka who was feared drowned after the man slipped from the rocky area into the sea.
A tourist from Kerala on last Friday went missing and got drowned in the same area.
Drishti Lifesaving explained that the tourist from Karnataka was part of a group which had eight members who had come to visit the fort.
Two males of the eight member group who were at the fort area decided to venture out in the rocky terrains to take snapshots of each other.
A huge wave banged the two off their feet and swept them into the sea. One of them somehow succeeded in getting back to the fort, but the other couldn’t be found anywhere.
The Drishti team after receiving the alert, they got into action with a jetski and went to the rough sea to find out the missing individual. For backup resources and medical team, an immediate call was placed.
However, the search operation became tough with the changing conditions of the sea and the missing person till late evening remained undetectable. On Wednesday morning, the search for the body of the missing tourist will restart. A 21-year-old tourist from Kerala, on Friday, close to a five-star hotel at Sinquerim, had slipped into the sea from the rocks. Next day his body was found.
