Man arrested for raping Dalit minor in Lucknow

LUCKNOW: Vinod Kumar Yadav, a 36-year-old man, was arrested for allegedly raping a 11-year-old Dalit girl in Madiaon area on Wednesday.
According to police, the accused, a native of Sitapur, and the survivor’s family knew each other. Survivor's mother had to go somewhere and had dropped her daughter at Yadav's place.
The complainant told police that Yadav's wife was not at home and Yadav raped my daughter. The complainant also alleged that Yadav threatened her daughter not to tell anyone about the incident.
ACP Aliganj, Syed Ali Abbas said that acting on an informer's tip off, the police team arrested Yadav from Ghaila road.
“He has been booked for rape, criminal intimidation, POCSO Act and SC/ST Act,” said Abbas.
In another incident reported from Mohanlalganj area, another minor was raped by a 22-year-old Amit Kumar of Nigohan.
The accused is the brother of the coaching owner where the minor used to go for her classes.
The accused spotted the minor alone and gave her some psychotropic substance and clicked her in an objectionable state.
The accused then showed her the photo and threatened to make it viral. He also raped the minor. Station House Officer, Mohanlalganj, Akhilesh Kumar Mishra said that the accused was arrested from Nigohan bus stand.
