Covid-19 loosens grip, active cases down

Vadodara: The number of active Covid-19 cases in the city and district went down with discharges on Wednesday exceeding the number of new cases detected. This also led to a decrease in the number of hospitalised persons.
Against 18 new cases on Wednesday, reported from 1,843samples, 25 persons were discharged. The number of active cases went down from 147 on Tuesday to 140 on Wednesday. The number of hospitalised patients decreased from 10 to eight in the same period. One person remained on oxygen support during the period.
The highest number of new cases on Thursday were reported from the west zone in the city where 12 persons tested positive.
