Mira Tayyiba, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, has recently highlighted the fact that equal opportunity in infrastructure development was one of the prime programs that the ministry has introduced to help the tourism industry of Indonesia.
Tayyiba observed on Tuesday that the ministry of Indonesia and its long-term support to initiations of the government in renewing the country’s tourism with rightly planned programs.
Afterwards, the secretary-general of the ministry emphasized that 12,548 villages out of 83,218 didn’t have 4G network.
For those villages, the ministry and cellular operators aimed on the development of infrastructure that needs to be attained by the end of 2022 or early 2023. Besides, the ministry had conducted a program named ‘Go Online MSMEs’ for all Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises and support them in taking on digital technology in which to the country’s economy, these MSMEs contributed around 61.97 percent. Also, a total of 26 thousand MSMEs have been digitally aided to advertise about their products in 10 priority tourism areas.
She also mentioned that for the Tourism Hub Network, they are setting up a digital platform which is targeted at finding info and booking destinations from the provincial to village level. Furthermore, for tourism village managers, the ministry had helped Tourism Villages by introducing English language training, along with online shop utilization training for 16 enterprises owned by villages, and MSMEs training.
