AHMEDABAD: The state revenue department has notified all districts including Ahmedabad to appoint a scrutiny officer to analyse applications uploaded by citizens over the
iMojini portal for an approved measurement map of their land. The department on June 10 defined the role of the scrutiny officer and stated that only when the officer ratifies the scanned documents on the portal, can the relevant payment be made online.
While describing the procedure, the revenue department instructed the appointed scrutiny officer to access the citizens’ application using their own login ids and respond within four days of assessing the application for measurement.
The scrutiny officer will have to notify the citizen via
email and
SMS on the status of the application. Deputy secretary, revenue, M B Soni in his letter has instructed districts to mention remarks in detail for requirement of documents or the reasons for rejection of an application via SMS or email.
It is after this that the online application for land measurement can be entertained by the integrated online revenue applications portal.
