BJP: Congress showing its netas above law

NEW DELHI: BJP on Tuesday said “theatrics and drama” by Congress since Monday is being watched by the whole nation and the agitations by the party reeked of the Gandhi family’s sense of entitlement.
“Irony is that they (Congress) will commit a crime and when action is taken, they do not abide by the law of the land. This sense of entitlement speaks about the Sonia-Rahul family and their behaviour is obnoxious. Supreme Court had said that accused number one Sonia Gandhi and accused number two, Rahul Gandhi, in AJL case should face trial,” said BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra at a press briefing.
Patra said Congress is blocking roads to show its “leaders are above the law”.
Gandhi was questioned by the ED for the second consecutive day on Tuesday in the National Herald money laundering case. Many Congress leaders took to the streets as they did on Monday and were detained by Delhi Police for violating prohibitory orders.
Terming the protests “drama”, Patra said, “Congress is frustrated as the law is taking its course.”
“The whole country is watching the drama and gimmicks that Congress party is doing about corruption. They will also do corruption and will also do drama. The Congress party had also gone to the trial court and had gone to the high court. The Delhi high court has categorically stated that prima facie this case is serious,” Patra said.
The BJP leader said that a group of Congress lawyers had also gone to the Supreme Court and demanded that the case be dismissed.
