19-year-old alleges molestation in Ghaziabad, teacher booked

GHAZIABAD: A 19 year-old girl, who is preparing for NEET, alleged that she was molested by her chemistry teacher in Ghaziabad. The teacher was arrested by the police after the girl made a complaint with police.
According to police, the accused, a resident ofGhaziabad, used to work as chemistry teacher in a coaching centre of NEET in Ghaziabad.
According to the FIR, the girl was taking classes in the coaching centre from October 2021. The accused used to send objectionable written messages on the girl’s phone. Even the accused used to touch her inappropriately in the name of giving notes.
“The accused used to touch the girl inappropriately on the pretext of giving notes. The girl had tried to make him understand that he was crossing the line, but he didn’t resist. On May 29, he called the girl to his cabin and misbehaved with her. The girl pushed him an dfled from the cabin, “ Munesh Singh, SHO of Madhuban Bapudham said.
“As the girl stopped going to this coaching centre and requested her father to look for some other coaching centre, her parents realised that something was wrong. After several requests from her parents, she revealed that the chemistry teacher harassed her. After that, the family made a complaint, and an FIR was registered on June 11,” SHO said.
An FIR has been registered at Madhuban Bapudham police station under the section of 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 354A (sexual harrasment) of IPC. The accused was sent to jail after producing him in court.
