It can be difficult to fix a fact or a statement in a YouTube video if you make a mistake. Although you can add a note to the video's description or pin a comment with the correction, most people are unlikely to notice.
Another method is by re-uploading the video after editing it, but the downside is that you'll lose all of your comments and engagement data.
But with YouTube's new feature, your audience will be able to easily notice the corrections that you have made.
How Does This New Feature Work?
According to The Verge, after a video has been uploaded, creators can add corrections that will appear as infocards in the top right-hand corner of the video at the proper timestamp using YouTube's "correction" feature. Viewers can then expand the correction notes in the video's description by clicking on the card.

Users Can Use a YouTube Feature To Find Reliable Health Information
Aside from the "correction" feature, the video streaming platform also launched another new feature that will assist users in the U.K. in finding reliable health information online.
Health source information panels will be presented to a video that has been certified as being from an authorized source. Garth Graham, the head of YouTube Health, revealed at a press conference that "only health organizations with government accountability" are currently qualified to have their videos recognized with this new feature.
