52 new Covid cases in Lucknow; 28 recover

LUCKNOW: A total 52 fresh Covid-19 cases were reported for the third consecutive day in the city on Tuesday. Meanwhile, 28 patients also recovered in the same period.
Among those who tested positive, 14 had influenza-like symptoms, seven had travel history and six tested positive during routine check-up before being admitted to hospitals for non-Covid ailments. The remaining cases were those who came in contact with Covid patients.
District surveillance officer Dr Milind Vardhan said all patients are recovering in home isolation and their condition is being monitored.
The health department will soon send teams to all government hospitals to check the functioning of oxygen plants to ensure that everything is in place and there is no shortage in case of a surge in cases, he added.
