‘Priyank’s ambitions denied Mallikarjun Kharge the CM’s post’

Kalaburagi: Leader of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha, and former Union minister Mallikarjun Kharge was cheated of the opportunity to become the chief minister of Karnataka because his son Priyank nursed ambitions of being a minister in the state cabinet, charged president of the Karnataka BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha, Chaluvadi Narayanaswamy on Monday.
Narayanaswamy said, “Although Priyank claims to be following his father’s footsteps, he grew up in a very privileged set-up, right from his days as a child.”
Seeking to emphasise his seniority, Narayanaswamy reminded Priyank that his experience in politics was greater than the latter’s age. tnn
