RBSE class 10 result: Girls leave boys behind again; Nagaur tops

Education minister BD Kalla announced the Rajasthan Board class 10 results at Shiksha Sankul on Monday
JAIPUR: Girls have outshone boys in the RBSE class X board examinations this year as well. Results of the examinations were announced by education minister BD Kalla at Shiksha Sankul on Monday.
The overall pass rate in the examinations was 82.89 per cent. While 84.38 per cent girl students passed, for boys the figure was 81.62 per cent. Of the 10,92,524 students who had registered for the class X board examinations, 10,59,072 students appeared, and 8,77,848 students passed.
Announcing the results, the education minister said that just like the senior secondary examinations, the pass rate of girl students in secondary examinations is 2.76 per cent higher than that of boys. This time 4,67,490 boys and 4,10,358 girls passed.
Kalla said that the board results were affected for the last two years due to the COVID pandemic and that this year’s results displayed a big difference. “In last year’s Class X examinations, the pass rate was 99.56 per cent. This year, the examinations were conducted after proper classes and through physical examination. The results have been about 2 per cent higher than the 2019 board exams,” said Kala.
As many as 1,10,596 students from Jaipur district had registered for the Class X board examinations. Of them, 1,08,842 students took the examinations and 94,364 students (86.70 per cent) out of them passed. In Jaipur, the result of girls was 88.64 per cent and that of boys was 85.01 per cent.
Nagaur district stood on top with a 91.44 per cent results in these examinations while Sikar was at the second position with 91.36 per cent results and Jhunjhunu emerged third with 91.29 per cent results.
